Jobs to be done

One source, different team needs

Frontline delivery

Find the exact numbered section behind an operational question.

Search a policy term, read the surrounding text, then copy the section citation.

Team leaders

Share one provision with its version and official source attached.

Use the copied citation in Teams, a work instruction or a coaching note.

Quality and assurance

Trace an internal control or finding to official publisher wording.

Record the section, effective date and source retrieval date. Make the assessment separately.

Learning and policy

Build reading lists and change briefs around stable section numbers.

Link to the provision, identify the source version and revisit it when a reviewed update is published.

Recommended workflow

From question to traceable answer

  1. 1
    Choose the program

Confirm the program, your role and what ServiceCite covers. Select IEA or Workforce Australia Services in the search scope.

  2. 2
    Read the provision

Open the numbered section and read enough surrounding text to understand its limits.

  3. 3
    Copy the citation

Use “Cite §” beside a numbered heading to copy its version, date, source and exact link.

  4. 4
    Check before acting

Open the official publication record and check the applicable Deed, variations, Work Order and any required Provider Portal instruction.

What the status labels mean

Current program
The program used for current delivery. It does not guarantee every captured file is the newest file.
Former program
A program replaced by a later program. Its material may still matter for historical or transition work.
Reform underway
The program remains current while the responsible agency designs or implements a future change.
Structured and searchable
Source wording has been organised into reference pages and is included in ServiceCite search.
Official links reviewed
ServiceCite provides a checked public profile and official links, but the source text is not searchable here.
Public profile only
ServiceCite records public context and boundaries, not a complete provider operating framework.
Effective
The date stated by the official publisher for that policy version.
Source retrieved
When ServiceCite downloaded the recorded copy from its official public location.
Recorded copy
A copy whose file integrity and checksum were checked. This alone does not prove ongoing currency.
Register only
An official file is recorded and linked, but its contents are not structured or searched.
